My name is Brad, and I am a millennial. Although we are equivalent in age, I weep for the state of my generation. I don’t use facebook. I don’t own a fedora or eat avocado toast. I don’t complain that my student loans keep me from paying my dogs aromatherapy sessions.
I am a husband, a father, a friend, a banker, a pilot, a martial artist, and as of today, a writer. These things make me a man. They don’t make me a man by their content; they make me a man by their existence. The fatal flaw of modern man is the desire to fit in: with his friends, his coworkers, his neighbors, his generation. A man who lives by anyone’s rules except his own is not a man at all.I do these things because they interest me and they are fulfilling. I actively seek out things that interest me, spend time on activities I enjoy, and spend time with people I love and are genuinely fascinating.
Do you want to learn to be a badass?
I am going to make this very simple: If you want to be a badass, you need to learn about things that interest you, spend time with people who intrigue you, do activities you enjoy, and most importantly, don’t waste your time on people who bore you or on things you don’t want to do. That’s it.
The last part is an important point. This website is populated by topics that are of interest to me: Fitness, food, sports, wealth, career, communication, leisure, culture, relationships. If you don’t enjoy the subject matter or my writing, then don’t read it. By walking away, you’ve just taken the first step away from your man bun and towards being a badass. My ultimate goal is to spark some inquisitiveness within you, the reader, to find out what interests you and how you want to spend your time.
If you’re still with me, look around, find something new, and learn how to be a badass.
